SDV Solutions Welcomes Rob Wittman

SDV Solutions, Inc. welcomed Congressman Rob Wittman to its headquarters on Wednesday, September 2 for an in-house version of a town hall meeting.  Wittman congratulated owner Mike McMahan and his team for landing 27th on the 2009 Inc. 500 fastest growing companies list and toured SDV’s expanding facilities in Toano, VA. They then got down to business with an informal, hour-long meeting where employees and guests were able to ask questions pertinent to the survival of small business in America.

Key issues important to SDV Solutions were the potential impact of the current HR3200 health care proposal on small businesses and individuals, and current efforts to modify federal agency contracting requirements for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. Mike McMahan was favorably impressed with Congressman Wittman’s depth of knowledge and passion for the issues. Wittman expressed appreciation for the opportunity to see SDV Solutions in action, citing McMahan’s company as a strong model for small businesses success. Says McMahan, “My employees and I truly appreciated the opportunity for such an in-depth conversation with Congressman Wittman. It was a two-way exchange, and I believe everyone came away with a better appreciation for the issues and tradeoffs that small businesses, individuals, and our government representatives face.”
